The new building will become the connecting element between the punctuated development along Dr. Scheiber Straße and the set-back, striking kindergarten building with its half-hipped roof. A shared main entrance acts as a link between the old and new building and creates a protected forecourt. The spatial sequence of dining room- foyer-forecourt, and exercise room can be used as a large, connected event zone (for example for St. Martin’s Day) Together with the kindergarten and exercise room, a natural triad is created around a village square with a new socio-cultural identity! The interior of the crèche consists of nine elements with group rooms illuminated on two sides, spaced apart by a central, transparent play area. The deliberate distribution of the important functions across four corners of the building, with a central link connecting to the kindergarten, creates clarity for everyone: The logical positioning of the administration and the kindergarten dining room at the connecting foyer, and the group rooms in a cloverleaf shape at the outer corners, create a sense of security for the children through logic. The open spatial structure, with an east-facing and a west-facing loggia and a central skylight, creates connections between the outdoors and the indoors and let you experience the seasons.The layout allows for all-day play in the sun, while the connected garden also offers shady retreats for hot days.
