The area at the Grenoblerbrücke bridgehead is characterized by a chessboard-like alternation of buildings and the attractive open bank area on the Inn. The aim is to give the new building an adequate location away from the noise of the intersection. The kindergarten is defined by prefabricated boxes positioned at a distance from each other. The required building volume encloses 2 central, private garden courtyards with an unobstructed view towards the banks of the Inn. The settling of the prefabricated boxes and the inclusion of the garden courtyards in the building creates contact between the groups and a connection between the access area and the outside space. The inward-facing concept allows later setting down in less attractive locations and thus ensures the required flexibility in the long run. The morning sun greets the children when they storm the foyer. A new center that creates an identity is formed, with a clear, sublime view of the banks of the Inn and the mountains on the horizon. The space for movement at the entrance closes the form. In the group rooms, niches should provide security and retreat for small groups, while views facilitate the work of the support team. The functional backbone with mobile cloakroom equipment allows entry from both narrow ends and a docking of further group rooms in case of moving. The landscape permeates the building through generous glazing at strategic points.
