ZWI GmbH commissioned us as the architects of their Center for Knowledge and Innovation Transfer to furnish the six startup office floors and the conference deck of the villa. Reception counters for communication greet visitors on each floor. Together with an open telephone box and cloakroom elements, they form the communicative center and a protective layer between the workplaces in the open space and the meeting rooms. When required, they can be booked by everyone in the house. The high-quality surfaces made of birch plywood and natural felt represent a pleasant contrast to the standard office furniture and form an acoustic barrier towards the entrance. On the conference deck, the 4 seminar rooms can be combined to form 2 lecture rooms or 1 large room. Pergolas clad with folded perforated metal sheets on the roof complement the space with outdoor seating, from which you can enjoy the view of the university campus and the mighty trees. A bar and a staircase made of black steel form the meeting place for breaks in the foyer, the natural wood construction of the lightweight construction, wood-covered benches and plant troughs in the open form a warm counterpart.
