The desire for a distinctive address for the school administration center with a discreet entrance situation is ensured by the positioning of the new building and its access at the intersection point. Thus, the school retains its spacious forecourt area along with new green open space plateaus. The new wooden building creates a public setting with minimal contrast. The entrance loggia on the ground floor hovers above schoolyard level and forms an identity-forming address, the landscape flows below and houses an open parking deck, which is protected from view by green embankments. A discreetly structured facade rises vertically and corresponds with the mature trees along Traunsteinerweg. The wooden cube with the tower character minimizes the land use of the school grounds as much as possible, like a welcome guest with good manners and, as a “light body,” sets a visual signal for a place of education. The division of functions across three levels results from the required three administrative departments and the urban planning, which optimizes the built-up and sealed footprint! The school psychology counseling center is located at the top. Like the common areas, they are independent and accessible directly from the stairwell. The impressive views of the surrounding mountain panorama and the “Streif” are a positive side effect!
