The exciting hybrid use and the desire for an open house has led us to a chessboard-like positioning of the buildings with 3 typologically similar structures, communicating with each other and allowing life to pulsate between them. Elementary school and music school are an ensemble of 3 structures that form a protected school area with a main entrance on the sports grounds in the south. The most north-westerly structure moves closer to the intersection and corresponds with the surroundings. Alignments are taken from the neighboring buildings, lines of sight are strengthened, all in a scale which is suitable for children. The schools and the 2nd construction phase (kindergarten) thus form the protective border for the central green areas of the school campus. In terms of urban space, the formulation of a school square creates the address and clarity, the square creates distance from the thoroughfare and gives the ensemble an identity-creating center. The auditorium at the interface of the two teaching buildings invites you to stay and communicate in a covered open space and a wide seating area, which also provides a quick connection to all day-long uses. The arrangement of the music school rooms around the auditorium makes it possible to use them for events in the evening. The ensemble appears transparent on the ground floor, the 2 towers with the steps per school building hold 5 identical clusters for the elementary school and a terrace that acts as a placeholder for the 6th cluster (extension). Like that, vertical visual connections together with the central atrium are created. The gymnasiums can be easily connected to form a large hall, escape route options on 2 sides make them useable for external events. The height above the single-storey TS-cloakroom is used for practice rooms of the music school.
